Heresy—found five times in five verses; Note: two other subjects assist this study of heresy: false doctrine and false teachers.
Variations: heresies, heresy, heretick
Interesting fact: Fifty-nine times in fifty-four verses the Bible uses a form of the word blasphemy. People blaspheme both the name of God and word of God. Many of the expressed acts that cause this blasphemy come as no surprise, but two lesser known acts of blasphemy involve disobedient servants (1 Timothy 6:1) and wives (Titus 2:5).
Bible study tip: The Bible records many prayers; however, there are times when the Bible does not specifically mention prayer taking place but the actions within the passage are a prayer. These instances offer the reader opportunity to learn the doctrine of prayer along with a practical education on the benefits of prayer during times of difficulty (see the Psalm 102 subtitle and then read Psalm 102:1-28).

2 Timothy 3:13 But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
14 But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;
