Thoughts—found 223 times in 211 verses
Variations: bethink, think, thinkest, thinketh, thinking, thought, thoughtest, thoughts
Defined: As a verb, the idea involves the giving of consideration to something or someone; as a noun, it is that which is conceived in such consideration.
First usage: Genesis 6:5 (thoughts)
Last usage: 2 Peter 1:13 (think)
Interesting fact: During the Lord’s earthly ministry, He frequently sought to direct the thought life of those under His care into a certain direction. In fact, the Lord focused much attention upon counteracting the inaccurate or improper thinking of His audience (Matthew 5:17; Matthew 6:25-34; Luke 9:46-48; John 5:39).
Bible study tip: At times, God even uses sarcasm within the scripture to prove His point. (Read Amos 4:4-5.) Did the Lord truly want the people to “Come to Bethel, and transgress”? No! In fact, He stated why He suggested such at the end of verse five when He said, “for this liketh you, O ye children of Israel.” Be careful not to take such verses out of context and suggest that the Lord sincerely desired behaviour contrary to His known will and character.

Day 295: Church Day
Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
